Beyond Friends Episode Ninety Nine Jet Plane

The Usual Suspects
RuPaul as Greta T

The Letter

Rachel and Greta emerged from the police station. They had filled the police report for the stolen limo and all of Gretas things. Rachel blushed a bit when Greta had to describe, in detail, most of her lacy underthings were stolen. It seemed very strange to Rachel that so much detail was needed on that, and none of her other important things. As usual nothing could be done as of yet about the stolen vehicle.

"We just have to find it ourselves." Greta determined once they left.
"Us? Are you crazy? We're not exactly Cagney and Lacey you know!" Rachel protested. "Just let the police do their job. Most of that stuff is replacable, right?"
"Wrong, hon. I was gonna design my own clothing line. What he stole were like prototypes!" She sighed heavily. "I just hope hes or shes not smart enough to figure out what to do with the designs!"
"Heaven forbid." Rachel noted. "What can we do?"
"I know." Greta said. "Give me your phone, I have connections."
"Ok." Rachel said. She thought for a minute. "I know what we can do."
"What?" Greta said dialing the phone.
"Chandler might know something, I don't know why. He had warned me last week that the limo we got turns up stolen then always turns back up with the same guy." Rachel said. She shook his head. "Man that would be so sick of him if that happened!"
"What do you mean?" Greta asked closing the phone.
"I think this guy who sold me and Pheebs the limo sells it then steals it back and does it again." Rachel said. "I lost the phone number to this guy. I will have to see if Chandler still has it." Rachel said quickening her pace. "Taxi! I'll treat." She said to greta while they waited.

Rachel walked up the stairs to Chandlers apartment. Even though she no longer shared the apartment with him, she found herself going back more and more often. She looked around a bit. She never really had a chance to look around much at where she lived for so many months. What a dump it was! She sighed and knocked on the door.
She waited for a couple of seconds and knocked again. There was silence coming from the apartment. She opened her purse and searched for a minute. Just as she thought. She still had the key. She had always meant to give it back but never had the opportunity. She put it in the lock and turned the key. She opened the door.
"Chandler?" She called. "I need some help." She continued unsure whether he was there sleeping or gone. "The limo was stolen. I need to know the number of that guy who sold it to us. We have the feeling it might have been stolen for him..." Rachel looked down and saw an envelope. It had her name on it. She picked it up and ran her finger along the crease of the envelope. She then picked up the armadillo letter opener and sliced the envelope open.
"Rachel!" Greta came in while she read it. "Guess what? I found this in my old mailbox. They must have found my address book in my stuff. It's a notice from the City Department. They found the limo in a towaway zone so its at the impound yard. We got to go pick it up." Greta looked at her. "We found it! You should be a little more happy!"
"I would be." Rachel said. "I found this." She handed the piece of paper she found in the envelope. "Its from Chandler." She said in case Greta couldnt recognize his longhand style of writing.
"Do you want me to read it?" She asked softly. "It looks mighty personal."
"Go ahead." She said wide-eyed.
"Okay." She said and looked it over.

Dear Rachel

By the time you read this, I should be gone. Don't ask how I knew you might come here, I just have a feeling about a thing like this. I am going to Chicago for a few weeks to do business, big merger deal, shouldn't be a really big thing. I want us to take this time to think. When we get back, will we be the same people? Will you still want to be with me, and vice versa? I know what I want, but is it what you want? I'll see you in a few weeks. My flight leaves at 9:30. I will always love you, but if you don't feel the same when I return, I will understand.
Yours
Chandler

"Is this a Dear Rachel letter?" Greta asked.
"I hope not." Rachel said.
"Are you going to the airport?" She asked.
"Why?" Rachel asked. "He's going."
"Yes, but why would he put the time of departure in his goodbye letter if he didnt want you to come to the airport?" Greta pointed out. "Hes calling out to you hon! All you have to do is answer the call!"
"You really think so?"
"I know so." Greta said.
"What time is it?" Rachel asked suddenly in a rush.
"Almost seven." Greta responded.
"I got something to do." Rachel said.
"What about....?"
"I know, but if I don't do this one thing, it will bug me forever." She said dialing a phone. "Hi, I need a cab and fast!"

Chandler got out of his car at the airport parking lot. He left his car in the lot where you can leave your car for an extended period of time and not worry about it being towed. He started to unload his luggage when a thought struck him. What if Rachel hadn't found the letter? What would he do if she didn't show up for him?
"Rachel." He said to himself. "I don't even have to wait until I get back. If she doesnt come to the airport, then I guess I have my confirmation." He looked down."I hope that won't happen."
He entered the airport terminal while the song "Anticipation" played on the intercom system.
"Anticipation...its keeping me wait...keeping me waiting...."
He checked in his bags and settled down for a long wait.
