"Invisible Guest"

Ross sat at his computer trying to send a message to the girl he was talking to the other night. Bloomygal he thought it was. What a strange name, he thought to himself. She promised that she would be online that evening to talk to him. So far it was a bust since he was once again alone in the online room where they had first met. He clicked his mailbox hoping to recieve something besides net spam mail. He had read his mail earlier that day and 30 out of 31 messages had been advertisments for real life happenings and events on the isle. Ross didnt really care about any of that. How could if he could not take Bloomygal to them?

Ross was about to pull away from the keyboard as a message popped up on the screen.

Bloomychic214: Hey
VacationGuy: Hey
Bloomychic214: I'm sorry I didnt answer right away. I was off doing things.
VacationGuy: Thats all right. I had some mail to read. Bloomychic214: You get mail here?
VacationGuy: Mostly spam. Have you thought on my offer to meet me?
Bloomychic214: Yeah, but we've only talked here for short while. Are we really to make such a leap to meeting in real life.
VacationGuy: It's not like anyone better is coming around is there?
Bloomychic214: hmm
VacationGuy: There is someone else isnt there?
Bloomychic214:Kind of.
VacationGuy: I knew it, I pushed too fast, too soon, I am sooo sure it was me. (pause) What is it?
Bloomychic214: It's not you.
VacationGuy: Good.
Bloomychic214: My ex-fiancee is on this island. I don't want to make him think I have already forgotten about what he has meant to me in my life.
VacationGuy: Ah.
Bloomychic214: But I would like to meet.
VacationGuy: Great. How about our previously agreed spot. The lookout view.
Bloomychic214: Deal.

Ross signed off from the computer. Wow, hes already meeting a girl. Plus she has a ex-fiance. Sounds like Rachel but Rachel would never be caught dead in a chat room.
Or would she?

Rachel closed her laptop.
"Am I going to fast, too soon? After all my wedding to Ross went haywire. I can't seem to date anyone but him." She said to herself and started to walk around the room.
"I'll just meet him. It's not like I owe him anything." Just then a knock came at the door.
"Just a minute." Rachel called. The bellboy opened the door.
"Hey." She said as she saw him. She grabbed a pillow for no reason. "Knock you little perv."
"Its not like anything was happening in here. Or was there?" He raise his eyebrow.
"That's none of your business." She said hugging the pillow tighter. "What do you want?"
"Definately not that pillow. What, are you afraid I'll take it?" He said.
"I'm asking the questions Buster!" Rachel said.
"My name aint Buster..." The bellhop said.
"I don't care! I wouldn't care if you were Charles DeGaul, get out of my room!" Rachel said.
"Just relax." He threw a bundle of towels on the chaise lounge. "Fresh towels. See ya."
Rachel ran over and closed the door. She then locked it. "Little creep." She muttered.
"Like you're anything special." She heard from the doorway.
She opened the door, threw a vase at him and closed it again.

New York

Monica sat across the table from Chandler. He looked back at her with a panicked look on his face. She smiled at him trying to reassure him that things arent going all that bad.
"Not all that bad?" Chandler asked. "You set me up on a blind date, first of all, and expect me to like that." He said. "Second." He held up two fingers. "Second of all we havent seen hide or hair of her since she went to the bathroom."
Monica nodded, and twirled her fork in a mountain of partially eaten pasta.
"Third." He held up a third finger. "Your date left at the same time to go the bathroom."
"So?" Monica shrugged.
"You don't find that a bit odd?" He asked her. She shook her head. "Not even the tinest bit?"
"Now that you mention it. It has been fifteen minutes." Monica relented.
"Exactly." Chandler got up. "I'm going to the bathroom." He said making a weird face. "Make sure they haven't fallen in."
"Wait. I'll come with you." Monica said rising. Chandler waited for her. Then they headed for the bathroom together. They stopped short of the bathroom doors.
"Now what?" Monica said.
"I dunno." Chandler said. "I dont think this far ahead."
"God." Monica made a fist and knocked on the door to the ladies room. The door opened easily, indicating that it wasnt locked. The window was open. Monica looked at Chandler.
"I guess she wanted a little fresh air." Chandler said out loud.
"Open the other door." Monica said.
"Sure, no problem."
He slightly pushed on the door. Monica closed her eyes almost expecting to see a man in there with no pants on.
"All clear." Chandler said. "And another open window."
"Gee, you'd think a date would say, you know what, I dont like you. Then go out the front door. Whats so hard about that?"
"I'd ask your date but hes gone." Chandler said.
"Want to go finish dinner?" Monica said. "We can call this a business expense and get away with it."
"Would your tax preparer guy accept that?" Chandler said as he guided her back to the table.
"He better, you're the one who does my taxes." Monica stated.
"Business tax credit it is." He said as he pulled her chair out. "I wonder what Ross and Rachel are doing tonight. Think they even found each other yet?"
"I dunno." Monica said. "Knowing them they would have broken up twice already."

Sau Paolo

Rachel picked out a dress to wear to her meeting with the man she chatted to on the net only hours ago. She locked the door to her cabana making sure that jerk of a bell hop wasnt around to see her scurry off. She breathed a sigh of relief when she didnt see him. she checked her hair and headed for the lookout view.

Lookout View

The lookout view was on a section of boardwalk on a sandy cliff overlooking the largest section of beach on the isle. There was a well worn wooden staircase leading to it. Ross ascended the stairs trying to ignore the creaking sounds of the wood beneath his feet. It felt like the bridge could give at any moment. He finally reached the top and ventured over to the railing at the edge. There was a set of binoculars that you could use to look at the shore, if you had ten cents in Sau Paoloan money that is.

Ross stood there and checked his watch. Whoever he was meeting was ten minutes late. He looked around for a minute at the crashing surf. He was getting anixous about meeting a new girl this soon after the wedding with Rachel fell through. Whoever it was bound to be a rebound woman anyway. But then that seemed to happen with all the women he dated in the post Rachel era. There was Bonnie, then he went back to Rachel, Emily then Rachel, then after a long sucession of pretty faces and forgotten names came Rachel again. Now this girl. There came soft footsteps coming up the stairs. Ross turned and looked. He could not see the womans face but she was a vision in white as she ascended the creaking stairs. She looked up.

"Oh my god. Ross?" Rachel said.
"Rachel?" Ross said. He reached out a hand and she took it. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to meet a person I met in a chat room." She said. "What about you?"
"The same." He said.
"Will they be here in a while? Its supposed to rain today." Rachel said.
"Yea." Ross said. They stood there and looked at the ocean.
"Nice night, huh?" Rachel said.
"Sure." Ross said.
They stood there for a second more. Rachel stood leaned on the rail then stood straight up.
"You wouldn't be VacationGuy by any chance?" Rachel asked.
"Yeah." Ross said. He snapped to attention. "Bloomygal?"
"Yeah." Rachel said. "Oh my god, we were talking to each other?"
"Who else would it be? We are pratically alone here. Gilligans Island for two." Ross said.
"Well if it has to be Gilligans Island I would rather be Ginger....what am I saying?" Rachel shook her head.
"Yeah, and I could be the professor. I like your line of thought but I would much rather you be Mary Ann." Ross said.
"I don't know if I would be Mary Ann." Rachel shook her head.
Ross kissed Rachel on the lips. "I doubt The professor would do that with Ginger."
Rachel kissed Ross back. "Yeah you're right."
Ross and Rachel kissed again. His arms pulled him into his embrace. It had started to sprinkle but it didnt bother them. Not even when the sprinkle turned into a monsoon like downpour.

Meanwhile, unknown to Ross and Rachel, an airplane lands. It taxis down the runway and pulls up to a small stepladder like stairway. The stairway is lined up with the plane. A small thunk sound is heard as the plane is tapped with the stairway. The door opens and the shoes of a man are seen stepping out onto the top of the stairs. He looks around then walks down the stairs to retrieve his luggage.
