Friends Guests:

"Someone To Talk To"

Rachel was looking at the rose she had recieved the other day in her cabana. It was just about to dry out. Monica would normally take the flower, dry it out and put it with her potpourri collection. Thankfully for Rachels sake she wasnt so "Martha Stewart". But she was still compelled to keep it. She had yet to find out who it was from. She doubted it was Ross, as sweet as he was. He had no idea she was there until that night so it was impossible for him to find her cabin and drop off the gift then "meet" her a hour later at the street festival.

Or maybe not.

There was a knock at the door.
"Room service!" A young teenage boy yelled.
"Room service?" Rachel wondered aloud. "I didn't order anything." She said opening the door.
"Complementary fruit basket." He said pushing a basket of fruit in her hands. He looked at the rose in her hand."I see you found the flower. All our female guests get a flower. You're the only one." He said turning to leave.
"Oh, ah , uh thanks." Rachel said straining to look over the basket.
"Have a good day ma'am." The boy said and closed the door.
She stumbled a little before setting the basket down on the floor.
"Well then, at least I won't starve." Rachel said gasping for breath. She took a minute to recover then went to take a seat at the computer laptop.

New York

Chandler had Joey over for breakfast. They were just reading over the new postcard they had gotten from Rachel.
"How come you never told me that you sent Rachel to the islands?" Chandler asked as he picked at his cuticle with the edge of the card.
"I don't know. I had thought you would go after her if you knew where she was." Joey explained while slurping his cereal. "But you didnt. Why? After stopping the wedding I thought you were gonna try and get her back. So far theres nothing happenening. Whats up?"
"I have no idea." Chandler said. "Maybe I didn't want Rachel to get married to Ross till we sorted our feelings out. After all she did break up with me." Joey nodded. "I havent seen Ross in days."
Joey gulped a mouthful of water so he wouldnt have to answer Chandler. He swallowed the water in gulps. Chandler took the glass of water from him.
"Me thinks you know something you don't want to tell me." Chandler stated."Is this true?"
Joey sputtered for a second. "Well...uh...I...and Monica eh. We sent down Ross to the same island."
"What? Why?" Chandler asked.
"We thought you might go down there or something." Joey said. "But obivously you didn't and I thought it would be safe to tell you now." Joey said putting the cereal bowl in the sink."
"Had this happened a year ago, you might not be so lucky." Chandler admitted. "But now I'm not so sure. We'll just have to wait and see what happens when they come back to the mainland."

Sao Paulo

Rachel clicked a mouse button and started her American Online service on the desk laptop computer.
"Ah." She sighed as she waited for it to connect. It was bizarre. No way to call off the island for days yet there was premium internet services on the island. It was a strange place.
"You've got mail." The computer intoned. Rachel click the button over "read"

Dear Rachel

Things are okay over here. Me and Chandler plan to have breakfast this morning. Hope you're having fun. You've been over there a long time now. See you soon

Joey

Rachel clicked "compose" and started a reply note to Joey.

Joey

You will not believe who is here. Ross! I don't know if he came here on his own or what his story is. I saw him at the street carnival here. I got a feeling somethings gonna happen down here. It's raining out. I think I will look at the chat newtork here.

Rachel

Rachel sent the mail for Joey, then stretched a little bit.
"I wonder if anyone else decided to stay inside today." She said as she entered the general chat room.

"Enter a name" loomed before him. Ross tapped his finger for a second. This was the first time he had been on the computer. He had no idea what to call himself. He looked around his room, as if that would give him some idea what to call himself. Then he had an idea. Why not go for the obvious. "VacationGuy" was born. It was raining out, so he deiced to cut his losses and go into a chat room.
"This should be interesting. Theres not many guests on the island. Not a whole hell of a lot will be in the chat room."
He clicked a button entered the general chat room. As he had guessed there was only one other person in the room.

VacationGuy: Hey
Bloomychic214: Hey
VacationGuy: How are you?
Bloomychic214: Bored. It's raining out.
VacationGuy: I noticed.

Rachel stopped for a second. Whoever this guy was wasnt really interesting.

Bloomychic214:I'm gonna go now.
VacationGuy: Why?
Bloomychic214: This whole chat thing is boring when you are the only two people in the chat room. It's not worth it.

Rachel moved to sign off. Ross jumped to action. The only person to talk to was about to leave. He didnt want that to happen.

VacationGuy: Stay for ten minutes. If you like me you can stay but if you dont I wont stop you from leaving.

Rachel thought for a minute.

Bloomychic214: Ok, you got ten minutes to hold my interest.
VacationGuy: Great so tell me about yourself.
Bloomychic214: Well I'm a tourist...
VacationGuy: Natch.
Bloomychic214: Hey, am I doing this or are you?
VacationGuy: Sorry.

A couple minutes later..

Bloomychic214: No way, totally untrue.
VacationGuy: It is.
Bloomychic214: It can't be, Bill Parcells going back to the Patriots? Where do you get your info?
VacationGuy: I have some very nice sources.
Bloomychic214: Hey, i just noticed we been talking for 15 minutes.
VacationGuy: I guess I can hold your interest.
Bloomychic214: Yeah.
VacationGuy: Maybe we should meet.
Bloomychic214: I dunno. We just met.

VacationGuy: We're just gonna talk, not have sex.
lustyguy: Sex? U 2 wanna cyber?
Bloomychic214: Where can we meet and talk?
VacationGuy: How about tomorrow, at the beach lookout view site?
Bloomychic214: Sure.

Ross and Rachel both left the chat room leaving "lustyguy" to entertain himself.

Rachel turned off her computer. Was she really to meet another guy, now that she knew Ross was here? Across the shore, Ross was thinking the very same thing.
