Beyond Friends Episode 114 "The Gambler"

Usual suspects:
Alison and Demi. the friends gang....

"Throwing it all away"

Alison was released from the hospital a couple of days later. Instead of staying for the wedding, however, she and Wesley chose to go home.
"It's just better for us." Wesley said. "Not like we're afraid a newborn is gonna become a gambling addict or crawl into a Wayne Newton show but you never know." He said.
"Thats fine." Rachel said, although she was a little hurt that two of her friends were now going home. "We're gonna make a video tape of it anyway, we'll show it to you later."
"Promise?" Alison said holding the baby Naomi.
"Absolutely. Would I lie?" Rachel said.
"Great." Wesley said. He shook Chandlers hand and kissed Rachel on the cheek. "Good luck you guys. From here on in, everythings gonna be roses."
"Great." Rachel said. The two got into their car and drove off. "Oh I miss them already!"
"What do you want to do?" Chandler said.
"Let me check the time." Rachel said. She looked at her watch. "It's noon. From this point forward its 24 hours till the wedding." She announced.
"So?" Chandler asked putting his arms around her.
"So this means we can't see each other till the wedding." She said quickly removing them.
"What?"
"You heard me. No contact with me. I'll stay with Monica. We got this far. It's a little superstitious, but I'm not letting anything else take you away from me." Rachel smiled. She kissed him on the cheek. "I'll see you later. Maybe you will find something to do." She started to walk away. "Here comes Ross and Joey, maybe they got something planned." She winked and slipped inside.
"Let me guess. 24 hour rule?" Ross asked as they both approached.
"As of noon." Chandler said.
"That was fun. I totally violated that." Ross said.
"See why you arent married now?" Joey said. "It's stupid but it also bites you in the ass if you're wrong." Ross gave him a look. "My parents have been married forever. They follow the same Tribbiani customs I plan to follow."
"Including the whole affair thing?" Ross said reminding him of the time he found out his father was a with another woman. His mother didn't seem to mind, even called it a hobby.
"Hell no. When you look at Greta, man you feel like you're cheating on yourself." He chuckled. Ross and Chandler looked at each other.
"Anyway its time for your bachelor party! Are you psyched??" Ross asked.
"We're seeing strippers aren't we?" Chandler asked Joey.
"Sure, why not?" Joey answered.
"I'm not sure if I can look at another woman who isnt Rachel." He confessed.
"Don't worry." Ross said. "We can cure that."
"Totally." Joey said. "Just leave it to us."
"Thats what I'm afraid of."

Monicas room

"Too bad the guys had to leave." Monica said. "Oh well, it'll be a smaller wedding party but it doesnt matter, does it?"
"No." Rachel said. "You guys are here." She said to Monica and Greta. "You are all I need."
"Thanks honey." Greta said. "What do you want to do?"
"I don't know." Rachel said. "I'm so uninspired. What did we do for the last bachelorette party?" She asked Monica.
"We went to a club, stayed two seconds then went to a movie. I think anyway. It was last year." Monica said.
"Wayne Newtons in town." Greta said. "I got front row tickets." The girls looked at her. "Oh me and Wayney go way back."
"I can imagine." Rachel said.
"Let's go see this concert. We can just wing it." Monica smiled.
"I wonder what Chandlers doing." Rachel thought to herself as they left for the show.

Chandler had temporarily lost Ross. They were in the middle of the casino at Caesers palace.
"Ross!" He called.
"Over here, Chandler." Ross said. He was next to a roulette table.
"What are you doing?" Chandler asked. Joey soon joined him.
"I had an idea. Do you still have that money for the wedding?"
"All five grand, courtesy of my brand new friendship with my father. Why?" He asked Ross. Ross got a weird look in his eye.
"Joey are you thinking what I am thinking?"
"I think so, but what we would do with that much thermal underwear in the summer?" Joey said.
"Why don't we double it?" Ross said.
"What? Are you nuts? Has the jet lag made you insane?"
"Maybe not insane." Ross said. "But crazy like a fox!"
"What?" Chandler said. "What is your idea?"
"We can double it. Here." He pointed at the table. "We'll get some chips and we will pick one number to bet it on. We can't lose!"
"We're in Vegas, as far as the Casino is concerned we will lose." Chandler said.
"Wheres your sense of adventure?"
"In my other pants!"
"Trust me!"
"Fine!" Chandler said. "I hope we don't regret doing this!"
"We won't." Ross said. He smiled a wide grin. He went over to the cashiers window with Chandlers money.
"What is that icky feeling in the pit of my stomach?" Chandler asked Joey.
"I dunno, you have the burritos?"
Ross came bounding back across the floor. He moved so fast he nearly tripped one of the hefty security guys that were walking the floor.
"Okay, he we are." He had several $100 dollar chips. "Are you ready?"
"As I'll ever be." Chandler said.
"Joey, pick a number." Ross said.
"Are you sure we want Joey picking the number?" Chandler muttered.
"Shut up." Ross sang through his teeth. "Well Joey?"
"35. I feel good with 35." Joey said.
"Any reason?" Chandler asked.
"That doesnt matter." Ross said getting anxious. "We have complete and total trust in Joey."
"We do?"
"We do."
"No I mean, we do?"
"We really do."
"Aw." Chandler said.
The guys gathered by the table. Ross took the chips and placed them on 35.
"Place your bets." The man running the wheel said. All the other players placed their chips. "Bets are closed." The wheel began to spin. The white ball began to roll around it at a high speed. It then, as fast as it started, started to slow down. The wheel slowed down with it. The number bumped over a few spaces. It looked like it could land in 35. It bumped in,bobbed a couple seconds and then bounced into 13.
"Oh my god!" Ross screamed.
"What? What? What?" Chandler said. He had a lousy view.
"We just lost." Ross said.
"Lost what?" They heard Rachel behind her. "Lost what?" they turned.
"Joey," Rachel said looking at Joey. "What happened?"
"Ross just lost your wedding money."
"Say that again?"
"Ross lost our wedding money." Chandler said.
"You gave it to me!" Ross protested.
"You practically mugged me!" Chandler argued back.
"You what? Ross!!" Rachel said starting to fume as she started to understand what had happened. Rachel clenched her hands and her teeth tightly. She could feel her nails piercing her skin but it didnt hurt her. Not as much as what Ross had just done. "There is no way I can I hate you more than I do right now!!"
Ross looked at Chandler and sighed. Rachel sobbed and turned away in a rush of anger. All he and Chandler could do is watch her walk away with the girls in tow.
"Thats another fine mess you got us into." Chandler said.
"Crud." Ross said. "Now what?"
