The Usual Suspects
Bruce Willis as Wesley

"Open shop?"

Chandler dumped a bunch of new papers on the kitchen table. There was a loud thump. Rachel jumped back a little bit.
"What's all this for? Looking for Doonesbury again?"
Rachel said. "Maybe a cheaper apartment if we can't get another job."
"I dunno." Chandler said. "If something doesnt happen soon I'm gonna scream."
There was a knock at the door.
"Get it, will you babe?" Chandler asked searching for another classified section.
"Oh sure." Rachel said.
She walked over to the door and opened it. It was Wesley.
"What a nice surprise." Rachel said as he came in. "Don't you work today?" She asked.
"Not anymore." Wesley said. "I quit."
"Really?" Chandler asked. "Why?"
"Well if I said it was because of you, that would be a lie. Lindas become a real fruitcake and a half since Rachel did that nair job on her hair. High five by the way." He said exchanging a high five with Rachel. "No one leaves before 7 at night. I can't do that, especially with the baby on the way. So I quit."
"What are you gonna do now?" Chandler said.
"I got a line on something." Wesley said. "If you want in, I can get you in."
"You're not gonna be a drug dealer, are you?" Rachel asked.
"Oh no." Wesley said. "I have a few friends who owe me a few favors. A lot actually, time to cash em in." He said to Chandler. "If you come with me this afternoon, I got an idea that will make us forget that place and captain baldy ever existed."
"Hmm." Chandler said. "Rachel?"
"Oh go with him. I'm dying to find out what the heck he's talking about. I'm gonna visit Monica today anyway."
"All right. We got a deal." Chandler said.
"Great." Wesley said leaving. "I guarentee you wont be sorry." He smiled and closed the door.
"What was he talking about?" Rachel said.
"He said something about wanting to run his own business." Chandler said. "Private accounting firm. Thats my only guess."
"Could be." Rachel said. "I gotta go now. I promised Monica to help with her presents."
"You mean you will wrap them then she will rewrap them to her liking?"
"Exactly." Rachel agreed. She kissed them on his lips.
"A hint of things to come."
"Why wait?" He said and kissed her again.

Monicas

"We need tape!" Monica said. She ran around her apartment. "Where's the tape!"
"Mon! Don't have an embolism! It's right here." Rachel said handing her a new roll of tape.
"I don't like wrapping the same package with a new roll of tape." Monica said.
"Its the same tape. No one will notice." Rachel said.
"But.."
"No buts, or I'm wrapping it!" Rachel said.
"Fine." Monica said. "Hows you and the Chan man."
"Pretty good." Rachel said. "Its been going good. Chandlers been looking for a new job. The money we got from the limo sale won't last long if we have to depend on it."
"I'm sorry I can't help you. I been going through some strange times myself. I think I have been getting a midnight visitor." She said. "Right around midnight I hear something outside. And its not a cat either."
"Who?" Rachel asked. "Do you know? Have you seen him?"
"Some guy, who goes out and sings in front of my apartment." Monica said. "What is the song? Oh right. I hope shes knows I'm a swell fella, whos only crime is lovin Monica Gella."
"Do you know who?" Rachel asked.
"I think its Steve." Monica said. "I know you told me that Linda was back. It looks like he came back with her. The song was ok, just needed a little more melody."
"Chandler did say it was over between him and Linda. Thats why she made a move on him." Rachel said, thinking.
"That's why he quit?"
"She came on to him in her office in a pink nightgown." Rachel said. "Maybe it was white."
"Bad color." Monica said. "Pass me a ribbon."
Rachel passed her a red ribbon. "What did you get me?"
"Uh uh. I'm not telling. I'm not that easy to crack anymore." Monica laughed.

Downtown

Chandler and Wesley never met the friend. Halfway down they talked in a coffee shop.
"I can't believe that guy never showed up." Wesley said angrily.
"I know what you want to do." Chandler said. "Start your own firm or something."
"Yeah." Wesley said. "How did you know?"
"When you talk, I do listen on occasion." Chandler laughed. "I can help."
"How?" Wesley said.
"Believe it or not I know a little something about this. A course I took as a dare once." Chandler replied. "A stupid trick Joey pulled once can actually help us now. All we gotta do is get a place and fill a few forms and such stuff and we can do it."
"Do we have money?"
"We will." Chandler said. "Are you in?"
"Working without a net, feels a little exciting." Wesley admitted.
"Great." Chandler said. "When do we start?"

Rachel and Monica put all the presents under the tree.
"There, that looks nice." Monica said.
"Yeah, and not too many rewrappings either." Rachel noted.
"I have you trained well." Monica agreed.
"Whens the Christmas party?" Rachel asked as she got her jacket. "Where is it?"
"The restuarant. Then we'll come back here for the gifts!"
"Great." Rachel said waved to her. "Gots to go, I want to hide Chandlers gifts before he gets home."
"Okay." Monica waved to her.
Rachel left carrying a big package. "I hope he likes this, I almost used all the limo money to get it."

Rachel found Chandler at home. She stowed the gift under the table.
"Hey honey." She said and kissed himon the cheek.
"Hey, I got news." He said. "We're going to start our own business."
"Thats great." Rachel said.
"We'll need that limo money after all." He said.
"Oh." She said thinking of the gift.
"Something wrong?"
"Nope, nothing." She said. "Hey how about a hug." Rachel hugged him.
"Oh my god, I wasted part of that money on the gift, what am I gonna do?" She asked herself.
