"Angel In My Eyes"

Linda knocked on Chandlers door.
"Can I come in?" She asked.
"Sssure." Chandler said while taking his feet off of his desk. Linda came in. "What can I do you for?"
"I need you to work late for a few weeks. Since the merger we've gotten behind in some important work." Linda said. "Can I count on you?"
"Ok." Chandler said. "Who else is gonna do this?" He asked out of his own curiosity. Linda went to the door.
"Oh, just us." Linda said closing the door. "Just you and me."
"Thats not weird at all." Chandler thought to himself.

Later

Rachel and Chandler lie in his bed. He had his arm wrapped around her, and she was snuggled in close by his side.
"Sharing the same room. That was a hell of an idea you came up with last week." Rachel said.
"I'm so glad this is working out this time. No sneaking around. No worrying about getting caught by what or who." Chandler sighed and kissed her on the head. "So this is true bliss."
"Yeah." Rachel said. "But you look worried tonight. Is there something on your mind? Anything I should know?"
"Yep." Chandler said looking at her. "Linda wants me to stay later a few nights for a few weeks to work on important stuff." He shook his head.
"Really?" Rachel said wrapping a hair around her finger.
"It gets better. It's just me and her. No one else." Chandler said. "I got a fax later today that even specfically warns me against telling anyone else about this special project of hers."
"Hmmm. Sounds like to me shes up to something." Rachel said. "Otherwise why go through all the trouble?" She paused. "Maybe we ought to reconsider tattooing our names on each others foreheads." She mused.
"I honestly think nothing will happen, but my gut is telling me otherwise." Chandler said. "Either that or I'm hungry."
"I'll fix you something." Rachel said and kissed him on the lips. Chandler took her head in his hand.
"I like what I see." He said.
"You better. This plastic surgery is costing a fortune." She joked and patted him on the side. "I'll be a while. Hopefully I won't burn the house down." Rachel got up and pulled on a short white terry clothe robe.
"At least let me know, if it happens." Chandler said lying back in the bed. "You will be the first to know." Rachel assured and slinked out of the room.

Minutes later

Chandler fell asleep while Rachel was cooking his dinner. He was starving too, he had forgotten his lunch on purpose so she will cook him some of her steak fries when he got home. Well Monicas recipe but somehow Rachel managed to improve on it tremendously. Monica found out about Rachel and her recipe stealing ways. Strangely enough she didnt seem to care that much about it. She was happy Rachel learned to cook at all.

He felt himself falling quickly into a deep deep sleep. The next thing he knew he was awaking to a bright light in the room. A bright light that faded and dimmed immediately. Chandler looked around himself and realized he wasnt in bed anymore and that he was fully clothed. He looked back where he had saw the light and glimpsed upon a familiar sight.
"Naomi." Chandler said taking a quick breath.
"Hello Chandler." She said.
"It's been a long time." He said as they looked at each other.
"Yes. Since last halloween." She nodded.
"What are you doing here?" He asked.
"I thought I'd come and say hi. I am your official guardian angel after all." Naomi said. She took his hand. "Walk with me."
Chandler reluctantly let her lead her out of the bedroom into his living room.
"I thought it was time I see you again." Naomi said letting his hand drop.
She looked around for a second.
"Nothings changed." She mused.
"You're wrong about that."
"I know that." Naomi said. "I was kidding. But since Rachel is back in yourt life again, this place no longer had the creepy feel when I first visited you. Theres a sense of, what do you call it...normal?"
"Normal?"
"Right." Naomi said standing behind Rachel who seemed oblivious to her. "Rachel belongs here. Thats why it seemed like your life was in so much turmoil." She said.
"It has been a sort of heck for a while since she left." Chandler agreed. "What does this have to do..."
"With me?" Naomi smiled. "I'm just a visitor." She put her hand on Rachels shoulder. Rachel felt a slight chill and pulled her bathrobe closer. "I'm here to give you my blessing."
"Thats very thoughtful of you." Chandler said as Naomi seemed to glide, rather than walk, back over to where he was standing.
"I thought you'd like it." Naomi said. "Fate is funny, who knows, if I lived where we might be. We might not even be in the same room. thats how its funny. Like cards, you think someone has a straight and they really have a full house." She sighed. "But enough of the stupid metaphors. I'm here to give a blessing. And here it is. May you and Rachel be toghether forever." She touched his forhead. He felt a warm sort of flow over his body. Naomi turned to leave.
"Where are you going?" Chandler asked.
"Oh, I'll be around." Naomi said and phased into the living room wall. Chandler felt a little weight bringing him back to earth. He work and found Rachel setting a tv tray on his lap. There was enough food on the tray for them both.
"Dream?" She asked as she fed him a steak fry. He chewed and swallowed before he answered.
"Yeah." He said.
"What are you gonna do about Linda?" Rachel asked.
"What can I do? Quit the job? I don't even know if she will make a move yet." "Yet this late night work stuff is an indication of whats to come." Rachel said eating.
"Let's not talk about Linda anymore." Chandler said kissing Rachel on the lips. He knocked over the fries on the floor as he did so.
"Chandler the food!" Rachel said laughing.
"Forget the food. Thats why we have a microwave." Chandler said as he kissed her some more.
"Okay." Rachel said as soon as she had a chance to breath.

Naomi stood in the door and watched them. She smiled and shook her head and disapeared.
